Hyouma out here asking offensive questions lmao. Thats like asking a parent do they have evil intensions with their kid. Watched after Botan for years like a parent. Just for some random kid to ask if you have evil intensions would kind of tick off any parent. Surprised she didnt react.

his question was brutally honest and that is pretty much his core character trait, the guy IS so straight-laced. multiple characters have said that many times. after listening to that whole lecture, how could he NOT think they have an ulterior motive or plan/plot?

Yeah and it's better he get that out right up front instead of doubting, wondering and not saying anything. As viewers of course we know they don't have evil intentions but he's only been around this "family" for a week or two. Also, nice character development at the end when he finally gets it when he sees their interaction in the same light as his own with his brother and sister.

I mean he is pretty dense considering his entire life after his brother and sister's death is a revenge trip so he never developed common sense nor any real human interaction.

I mean her whole story was about how the girls is special to her kind. Even her and the others role was described more like duty/job, with the familiar ties left out.

So it would honestly be worse had he not wondered about that.

Plus considering the real dangers surounding the "daugher" if I were the "parent" I would honestly view that question as a positive, as it shows he thinks about Botans protection, even if it is from her "family".
